Villa d'Arte, a concept gallery, is nestled in the hills above the Mediterranean Sea on the French/Italian border, on the Italian Riviera side near Vintimiglia. Nicole Durand, art dealer and sculptor has operated the gallery and sculpture school for over 10 years. She regularly invites international artists to work and exhibit in her spectacular gallery overlooking the sea. She has had visiting artists from New Zealand, Russia, USA, Monaco and France. The residencies are concluded by an exhibition in the gallery, with invitees from France, Italy and Monaco.
The weekly sculpture classes have participants of all ages and nationalities. There is a non-competitive atmosphere, where students picnic together during the full day classes.
Nicole's sculptures and the paintings of her collaborator, Gianne de Genevraye are on permanent display in the gallery.
